Happy 1st Birthday, My little Aven Jace!

I never would have imagined how fast a year could go by. I know everyone always says that, but I really do mean it. I think this has been the fastest year of my life. I look at my little independent kid crawling around getting into everything and can't imagine that just one year ago he was born. I just got done finishing writing my birthday letter to him and was almost in tears. (Could be the pregnancy hormones)

I have been truly blessed with such an awesome kid and can't wait to see what God has in store for him and our family.

Happy Birthday Son! I love you!!

I will post some pictures from his party and from his birthday soon :)

Having your cake and eating it and bathing in it too!

I wanted to take a few pictures of Aven so I could have displayed at his party. Boy what a mess we made. He had so much fun.

At first he was a little hesitant. I don't think he likes making a mess just like his Dad.

Mom...What the heck is this stuff on my hands! Get it off now!!

He finally realized that he could eat it and I think not sure if he liked it to much at first.

Then he started throwing it everywhere.

Ok, this might not be so bad after all :)

And the final aftermath. I'm pretty sure I'll be finding cake stuck places I didn't know it could hide for the next few months. haha

Vote!

If you didn't notice the little poll ------->
on the side of my blog. I am taking a poll on what everyone thinks the sex of the baby will be. I personally think it's another boy. Although last night I had a dream that it was twins and I couldn't stop crying. Not that two babies wouldn't be a blessing. I just don't know that I could handle it :)

So if you haven't voted already please pick what you think it's going to be. Looks like it's pretty close to being a tie right now.

I will find out in about 5 weeks if Aven will be having a brother or a sister.

Thank God for my husband!

I have been so beat lately and have had no energy to do anything. My husband has really been such a lifesaver to me. He has basically took over with the planning of Aven's party and is ordering all the food. Last night he came home from work and took over. He made dinner and cleaned up the mess, and even put Aven to bed. He is always such a big help but since I've been so run down he has really been a HUGE help.

Every morning he wakes up and makes Aven his bottle and changes his diaper while I am still sawing logs in bed. :) Thank you Johnny for all your help! Just think you only have to do this for another 7 months. ha jk

Happy Father's Day

Yesterday was Father's Day as most of you know. I was beyond tired and didn't feel like even getting out of bed. I felt really bad cause I know this was Johnny's 1st Father's Day and I wanted it to be special for him. He finally made me feel so bad talked me into getting up and making him breakfast so I ran to the store and made his favorite... S.O.S. (crap on a shingle) I got Johnny a flag for the front of the house that he's been wanting except he decided to go buy himself one on Saturday so I had to break the news to him and tell him that I bought him one too....go figure. Anyway all in all I think it was a good day. He definitely deserved alot more then I was able to do for him but I think he knows how much I appreciate him and all he does for this family. I think carrying another baby for him is the best gift you can give.

All the Father's and the kids!

I'm back

Sorry for the lack of post lately (if anyone is even paying attention) my husband has been out of town and doesn't return back for a few more days. (I shouldn't probably announce that on a public blog. Any freaks out there don't get any ideas.... I have a gun and know how to use it. haha :) ) I have had zero energy and not been feeling great. Aven has been sick for the past two days which makes things even harder. All I can say is that after having Johnny gone for awhile I would make a horrible single parent. ha I don't know how any of those Moms do it.

We had a super busy weekend. Here are a few pictures from one of the parties we made it to this weekend. Thank God my friend Krystyn got some pictures cause of course I forgot my camera.

Aven and his girlfriend Kyndall playing with his new favorite toy. My parents bought him one for his birthday. This kept him busy for a good hour.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Please pray this week goes smoothly for me :)

Hot off the press

I just got some insider information that www.eyeslipsface.com is being bought out by Nordstroms so they are having a HUGE sale. Almost everything on the site is going for $1.00. I know I am in need of some new makeup so I thought I would share the awesome news. Happy shopping :)

If looks could kill.....

Got some better pictures of Aven's new "mad dog" look. Seriously what 1 year old does faces like this?!?! It's so funny to see him becoming so independent and seeing his personality come out. He does not like me telling him what to do. Which kid doesn't though? He definitely lets me know he doesn't like it.

Thank God that he has the fun loving side to him too. This is the side that makes the long tired days all worth it :)

Brenda & Scott Engagements- Part 2

Brenda pretending to "tag" the wall. I thought this wall was cool even if I don't think tagging is. ha

Please Vote!

My friend Dan asked if I would help him out in getting a job for Murphy-Goode winery. He's been looking for a job for awhile now and we all know how hard it's been for alot of people in todays economy to find a job. I told him of course I would help him out! He really is such a sweet and funny guy. So what are you waiting for please go over and vote for him!

Here is the link. By the way, if you have more than one email address you can use more than one. Thanks for your help :)

Aven & The Family

We had a BBQ Sunday at my parents house for my cousin Lauren being here. We always try to get a picture with all the cousins when they are together. Bridget actually managed to get them all in and none of them were crying. (that's a first) :)

This is Aven & all his cousins with his Grandparents and Great Grandparents. I think it's so amazing to see because of my Grandparents they have created this BIG wonderful family.

My mom and all her Grandkids.....I was going to stick my belly in the picture to get #10 (maybe #11) in there too.

And so it begins.....

Aven has decided that he wants to give me dirty looks when I tell him No. Two nights ago I told him No when he was playing with the fireplace doors and he turned around and gave me the most evil look. Could it be that he's been watching me when I give my husband those looks?!?! Me?? Never. My Mom used to tell me when she would tell me to do something she would catch me sticking my tongue out at her when she'd turn around. I guess God really has a sense of humor and is paying me back for what a rotten child I was :)

Lunch Date

Aven and I got to sneak off today for a lunch date with my friend Krystyn and her girls. Krystyn and I were pregnant together when I was pregnant with Aven. We were only weeks apart and now we are pregnant again together. We always tease that our babies are meant for eachother cause they both are so fussy most of the time. We always think we will get our revenge on them one day when they get married and have the fussiest babies in the world :)

We got there and Aven decided to give his new mad dog look at them and all the tables around us. ha It was so good to finally spend some time with them. Thanks Krystyn for driving out and meeting up!
Aven thought he would be cool and sneak his arm onto her chair :) Better have Daddy have a talk with him haha jk

Engagement Pics

Here are a few pictures from today. This was my sister and her soon to be husbands photo shoot. It was alot of fun even if we did have to walk through cow crap to get a few shots it was worth it. :) My friend Courtney even joined us and was my personal nanny watching Aven while we did the pictures. Thanks Court! I'll post more pictures once I get more time to edit them.

This picture reminds me of the movie the Notebook for some reason. ha

Lauren's Shower

My cousin Lauren came down from Washington this weekend for the shower we put together for her. We had a really good time and it was so nice to see her and the rest of the family again.

I'm pretty sure I gained 20 lbs making these. I had to make sure they tasted ok...right?
