Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I know I did. Ate way to much but that's what your supposed to do on Thanksgiving I just seem to do it every other day also. Here are a few pictures.

Brenda decided to go around and take pictures of the whole family wearing Landen's Indian hat. Farrah and Landen were sleeping so we missed them :(

Father Like Son

I was taking this picture of Aven today and it reminded me of one of my favorite pictures of Johnny I found when going through my old pictures. My two handsome men! Let's hope Aven is organized like his Dad :)

Wordless Wednesday

My Anal Husband :)

Ever since I've know my husband he has been very clean, organized and has to make a list for everything. Me, on the other hand isn't as clean and if you asked him not organized at all and for a list...oh that's in my head. Usually why I end up forgetting something every time I go to the store.

So he has been training for a marathon in January that he has done the last three years. Well this is the first year he has actually decided he would train for it. I guess that 31 year old body can't handle the pain like it used to. What's that line??? (not as lean, not as mean, but still a marine?) JK So the other day I go into our closet and this is what he had up on his cabinet. I think I said in my head, "OH NO YOU DIDN'T!"

By the way, Smazzy is not my husbands real name. It's a nickname he used to have in the military. haha

I guess what would even be more funny is to see my schedule. Eat, Breastfeed, Change poop diaper, Eat, Eat, Breastfeed, Blog, Eat, Breastfeed. haha I guess it's good that he is so motivated. I'm hoping it will rub off on me soon :)

Now who is ready for some Thanksgiving Turkey????

I better get going I need to go to the store to buy stuff for dessert I'm making. I wonder if I should make a list.....Nah!

P.S. Smazzy, if you even read this blog. I love you :)

Why Oh Why....

Do some strange women think it's ok to touch your baby or come up and blow on their leg?? I don't know about you but I never go up to anyones baby (let alone someone I don't know) and touch or grab their baby. We went to a birthday party this weekend and there was this one lady at the party that obviously had one to many glasses of wine. She decided she was going to motor boat on Aven's leg. I really didn't know what to do or say to her except laugh. She did it about 10 times. My friend Ann and I just kept laughing at each other in disbelief. I finally had to get up and move before we both got drunk off her breath fumes and her overspray of spit. She was a really nice lady but I never understand how people can do that. I made sure when I got home to scrub his leg extra good. Here are a few pictures Ann took before we were attacked by the strange lady.

OOPS I did it again!

Although my roots look like Britney most of the time...No people, I am not really letting him drive around. Last night we were waiting in the parking lot for my Chiropractor and of course Aven was being his usual self and screaming his head off cause he hates his car seat. The only way he would stop is when I let him drive.

Flash Back Friday

Since Faith had her surgery this week I thought I would dedicate this flash back Friday to her. This picture was from her birthday. I drove down to Carlsbad when they lived there and stayed up till like 3 in the morning with Bridget setting up for her strawberry shortcake party and made her this cake. This is the same cake my mom made for Bridget when she was a little. Although I had bags under my eyes and pink hands at the party, the look on her face and the excitement she had when we revealed the cake to her was all worth it.

Lets hope that Aven doesn't see this post because he's going to be expecting me to make him these kinds of cakes. I really think the ones at Costco will do just fine :)

Thankful Thursday

I thought I would start thankful Thursday since it's getting close to Thanksgiving and instead of dwelling on the bad things that are going on, I'd rather focus on the stuff I have to be thankful for.

1. I am thankful that I am able to stay home and work and be with my son and can kiss or hug him whenever I want. I know alot of moms who have to leave there little ones everyday and I can't imagine how hard that is.

2. I am thankful that I have a beautiful home and a somewhere to lay my head at night. There are alot of people right now who have either lost their home in the recent fires or who are losing it for other financial reasons.

3. I am thankful that I get to go visit my Grandma after work and Aven gets to see his great grandma. Oh how I miss my great grandma. I treasure the moments that I get to spend with my grand parents.

4. I am thankful that my husband still has a job and is still managing to do well even though the market is doing so bad.

5. I am thankful that today I get to breathe fresh air instead of smoke filled air.

6. I am thankful for all my friends and family that love me. I am thankful that they call me when they need to talk cause they know I will be there for them...(Courtney) I know if I need them for anything they would all drop everything to help me out.

7. I am thankful that my husband is going to watch Aven on Saturday so I can have a few hours with my friend to enjoy eating one meal in peace and able to finally get a pedicure. I feel sorry for the lady that has to try and get the 10 coats of polish that have accumulated over the past 5 months off my feet.

8. I am thankful that I can afford to go see my chiropractor tonight and thankful that I found him. He has helped out so much!

9. I am thankful to the mother who came up with Baby Einstein, she has allowed me at least 25-30 minutes of free time so I can actually take a shower and brush my teeth during the day.

10. I am thankful for my husband.

Yumm Carrots

If it doesn't get all over the place it doesn't belong in your face.

As clean as I tried to make this I couldn't keep from getting him to get it all over his face and in his eyes.

Aven's First Amusement Park (I wasn't amused)

So anyone that knows me and knows when I decide to plan any kind of event knows that something is bound to happen. For example. Every shower that I have planned for Bridget usually happens to be the hottest day of the year. Including my Baby Shower that was record hot that day. My great aunt passed out and we had to call the ambulance. My wedding happened to rain ALL day long up until minutes before I had to walk down the aisle and it hadn't rained in 6 months. So I should have known when I planned to take Aven to Knotts Berry farm for Veterans get in free wouldn't be all that it was cracked up to be. Don't get me wrong we had a wonderful time besides having to chew on ash and breath in smoke. It happened to be the day of all the fires. So we had to cut the day a little short and head home since it only took us over 2 hours to get home cause all the freeways were closed. Here are a few pictures from our day. We went with our friends Seth and Torie and her niece. :)

My heart goes out to all of the families that lost their homes in this huge fire. I know alot of my family and friends that were so close to losing their homes and I can't imagine the feeling.

Seven Things

My friend Kristen tagged me on her site to make a list of things you you may or may not know about me, or you might not even care to know so if you don't then sorry. haha

Seven things that attracted me to my husband-

1. His Motivation. (usually on Sat mornings he gets up and wants to get stuff done like do the yards, clean the house, while I'm still in bed. I call these saturdays, sergeant Saturdays.) He's actually outside doing the yard as I sit here and write this...oops. 2. His smile (I can't stand gross teeth) 3. The way he got along with my family. 4. That he was a Marine and how much he loves his country (got to love a man in uniform) 5. I loved the way he talked to his mother on the phone and always told her he loved her when he hung up. 6. I loved that he used to write me cards and poems. 7. That he could be so tuff sometimes and so soft other times.

Seven things I always say-

1. Hi boo boos (when I talk to Aven) 2. Cami SHUT UP!! 3. Johnny can you bring me this.... 4. Hi, thank you for calling Keyway. 5. Love you, have a good day at work. 6. Is it 5 yet? 7. Hey little fishes do you want to take a swim with me? (Aven's favorite song)

Seven things I love to eat-

I think it might be easier to list the things I don't like to eat which isn't much. haha

1. Sushi 2. Tuna Sandwiches 3. Chochlate Souffle from Roy's 4. Funnel Cake 5. Fritos Pizza 6. Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich with Doritos inside :) 7. Cereal

Seven thing I can do-

1. Touch my nose with my tounge. 2. Work a full time job and take care of Aven 3. Fix a broken water pipe (I had to when my husband was out of town) 4. Replace a light fixture and not electricute myself. 5. Be in labor for almost 24 hours and still think it wouldn't be so bad to do it again. 6. I can finally weed wack without making it look like I butchered the lawn. 7. I can lose 40 lbs in less than 5 months.

Seven things I can't do-

1. Can't help myself from shopping and spending money. 2. Can't be away from Aven 3. Can't seem to get a full 8 hours of sleep. 4. Can't understand how some people who don't want there children just won't give them up for adoption. 5. Can't understand how I get so stressed with taking care of one baby and my sister takes care of 5 and makes it look easy. 6. Can't believe that my uncle has been gone for 6 years and can't believe that he never got to meet Johnny or Aven :( 7. Can't believe that I will be 30 in 3 years!

Seven people I tagged. I don't even think I have seven people that read my blog. I know Bridget and Courtney do. :) Anyone else that I don't know that reads this feel free to do your own and leave me your blog address in the comment section.

Got to love them.

Mother in laws that is. I have to say that I really do love my Mother in law. She stays out of our business, doesn't try to tell me what I need or should be doing. Even when she stayed with us for 10 days she tried to stay out of everything. I've heard stories about Mother in laws and I am so happy that I have the one I do.

Before I ever met his mom and when Johnny and I were dating, every year she would send us a box with our Christmas gifts in it. I don't know if she just really didn't like her son or she was serious about the stuff she would send. Every year we would look forward to her box in the mail so we could all get a good laugh. (kinda like on the Griswald movie where the grandma brings the cat wrapped up in a box) She came out to meet me a few years ago and after meeting her it seemed like the crazy gifts stopped and she started sending nice stuff to us. I thought well maybe it really was Johnny she didn't like and she's sending good stuff cause she likes me. After today I think I've come to the conclusion that she really doesn't hate us and just likes to send us strange things.

Johnny asked his mom to send him some of his books for Aven from when he was a kid. So today I got a package with a bunch of books and these things....

Is it me or do these little guys seem a little strange?? Anyway, I feel bad cause she probably spent $50 bucks just sending us all this stuff. Oh well :)

Tom's Farm

My mom and I took a little trip out to Tom's Farm on Saturday to meet my brothers wife to pick up the kids. I was so excited to finally get to see them it's been a few months. We stayed there for a little while and had some fun. Here are a few pics.
