New Venture

Well I have finally decided to start my own little side business. I love taking pictures, always have. I've been doing alot of different pictures lately so my husband has been bugging me to actually try making a little extra money doing it. He is someone who will just go for it and jump in feet first. Me on the other hand I take a little longer and make sure this is something I should be doing or I lack the confidence and take a little longer to make a decision. I took his advice this week and I picked a name and bought the domain name and should have the actual site up soon. I'm still new to all this but I am excited to get started and learn more.

Here is the link to the future site. I will update later when I finally get the site up and running.

If you are Bridget, don't read this post.

Last night I went up to meet Bridget and Justin and the kids at the Upland carnival. I think we really need to get out more. We decided we were gonna go one of the spinning ride with Austin and Faith. We both were so excited because we could ride together in one cart. There were some high school kids running the ride (I know scary) If carnies aren't bad enough we had high school carnies. So we got on and they kept the ride going for a long time. I'm pretty sure they wanted to see the Mom's who thought they were cool throw up all that Kettle Corn we scarfed down. Needless to say we finished the ride with tears in our eyes from laughing so hard. That was well worth the rip off...I mean the $8.00 it cost to ride that thing. I of course did my famous scream so the whole city of Upland could hear me. (Torie..I know you know the one I'm talking about)

Afterwards, Austin and Faith begged to come home with me and stay the night. They don't come over that often so we always have alot of fun when they come over.

Faith and I had some dinner (milk and cookies) Bridget, if your reading this please just move along this is what Aunts are supposed to do.

We had a little bumper pool tournament going on. After our game Faith and I decided we needed some beauty sleep and headed off to bed. My good sport of a husband slept on the couch so we could have the bed all to ourselves. Even when he had to work this morning :) He did wake up a little crabby but that's probably because he stayed up so late playing Ghost Recon. ha

We woke up early this morning and Faith got her very own bubble bath. She is actually still in there as I type.
We had a really good night and I love having them over. I remember these days going to stay at my grandmas house cause you got to stay up late and eat cookies for dinner :)

Ladies Man

We went to lunch yesterday and almost the whole time Aven kept staring at this lady and then waving at her. We've been trying to teach him to wave but he always does it at the wrong time. I think he finally figured it out. This kid is already a little flirt.

(sorry for the poor quality I had to use my cell phone)

Ryan

My friend Courtney brought her nephew over on Saturday so I could take a few pictures of him for her. He was such a ham and kept doing all kinds of little poses. He was definitely not shy for not really knowing me. Isn't he just so cute??

Summer is almost here.

Today we had such nice weather. It was super hot out so we decided to try and go find a little ghetto pool big enough for our family of three to just sit and soak in. I guess everyone else in the city of Chino had the same idea, because they were all sold out. So we went home and Aven got his own little "hot tub" to himself.

If I would have known he'd love it so much I would have broken this baby out a long time ago.

Yes, I am wearing clothes it's just a tube dress.

After our attempt at hanging out in our new pool we decided to try out Aven's new kite at the park next to our house.

Aven getting a good laugh at Dad running around the park trying to keep the kite in the air.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Spring cleaning, of the eyebrows.

My husband decided he was going to do a little manscaping this morning. He called me upstairs and asked if I could shave his hair line in the back but when I was standing behind him he just kept laughing. I asked him, "what do you keep laughing at?" He then turned around and showed me what he had done. I guess the clip slipped off and left him looking a cholita. All he's missing is the sharpie.

As you might be able to tell from his eyes in this picture he wasn't to thrilled when I asked to take a picture of the damage for my blog. ha I will probably be getting up early tomorrow morning to pull out some tricks so he can show up to work tomorrow :)

Easter Weekend

I finally got a chance to update on this weekend. I think I might get just as tired trying to replay it all then I did actually reliving it.

As some of you may have noticed by the blog header I had a slight change of hair do. I once again was talked into a hair cut by my lovely sister and friend Courtney. This time I do actually like it. I just think I need to get used to it. I came home from my sisters and walked in the door and my husband told me that I look like Lady Gaga. I don't know if that was intended to be a compliment or a bash....

I personally think it makes me look like I did when I was 7. haha (What is with that outfit? I'm pretty sure that dress did not come with that lace collar.)

Anyway on to the good stuff. Friday night I went over to help my sister set up for Farrah's 2nd Birthday Easter Party Extravaganza. I baked 4 batches of rice crispy treats, 45 cupcakes, 1 bunny cake. We hid 260 something eggs for 42 kids. I'm pretty sure my sister and I are the only ones crazy enough to actually do all this for a 2 year old party. :)

Aven and all his bunny cousins. Do you know how hard it is to take a picture like this with crying babies who don't want to wear those dumb ears??? We managed to get a decent shot though.

Aven' and Dad

Farrah and her cool new glasses :)

Me, Aven & my brother the easter bunny

We had a really good time. I even got to see some of my blog friends and actually meet one finally. So good to finally meet the Achee family :)
On to Easter sunday. We woke up and Aven got to see his first Easter basket :)

Then we were off to Ron & Charice's house (Johnny's boss). Every year he has a huge Easter egg hunt in their backyard that is like a park. He puts money and lottery tickets in all the eggs. He even blocks off sections for the babies, toddlers and older kids. Aven walked away with $34.50!
Here I am with Aven trying to help him collect money for his piggy bank.
Dad was even excited to find an egg.

Aven with Ryan. Ryan is 7 months older than Aven and they are about the same size. I'm not sure if they are eating grass or their treats.

After Ron's we headed back to my sisters house for more food and Easter fun. I was so worn out by this time that I didn't even bring my camera in the house.
I hope everyone had a great Easter. I know we did!

Almost

Aven heard the rumors that his cousin Finley is almost crawling and she is a month younger than him. I told him that if she learns to crawl first he might never hear the end of it how a girl beat him.

Actually this morning I laid him on the ground and he got up all on his own. Finley better watch out now her cousin will be chasing her around trying to kiss her.

If you want something done right...

Do it yourself!

As promised, here is me finally taking care of my neighbors horrible weed problem. We tried to do the right thing first and write our association and they obviously don't care so I had to take matters into my own hands and play a little Brianna scissor hands.

After watching the video I realized that I enjoyed doing that a little too much. Can you tell it had been bothering me for awhile? I'm sure that my trim will only last a few days but it sure felt good :)

Ryland

My friend Sommer brought her little baby over today so I could take a few pictures of him. I had to share. He is so cute! Of course he is like any boy around two annoying mothers trying to take pictures and got a little fussy. I was just happy to get a couple good ones in. I can't believe Aven was ever this small. Oh how the time flies by.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side...

but there is a ton of weeds! My neighbors have decided to grow their weeds so high that they now are at least 5 feet over our fence. We have sent a letter to our association and they have yet to make any changes. I don't understand why people buy a brand new house with a huge backyard and let it look like crap. I understand if you can't afford to do your yard beautiful but it doesn't cost anything to cut down weeds. I will be out there with the weed whacker hanging over the side of the fence if that is not down by this weekend. They even might get the rest of the dead animal over the fence if they don't watch it. haha

P.S. Neighbor if your reading this you better take care of your issues. You might not realize it but you are living next to a anal ex Marine Sgt.

Please check back next week for the video of me hanging over the fence.

Mystery Meat

I got a nice surprise today when I went to let my dogs in to eat after work. I opened the door and called for them but only one came. I yelled her name and still nothing. That is not like her, she always comes running when I open the door. I went outside to look around and found her with something in her mouth. I yelled at her to drop it, which she totally ignored. Finally after yelling at her and chasing her around with Aven in my arms looking like an idiot. I got smart and decided to spray her with the hose. After she dropped it I went to see what it was and I still have no clue. It looks like a foot of some kind of animal.

It's still sitting outside in my backyard until my husband gets home to pick it up. I refuse to touch that thing.
Does anyone want to take a guess at what this thing might be?

Praying for Stellan

If you haven't had the chance to notice the link to the right of my blog that says "praying for Stellan" or if you haven't noticed it on anyone else's blog you can notice it now. Thousands of people around the world have been saying prayers for this 5 month old infant fighting a potentially deadly heart condition. His following is truly extraordinary and began online. Each day the site gets around 200,000 hits!

His name has been written in the sands of the west African desert, on cardboard next to the Eiffel Tower, and surrounded by hearts in front of an Argentinean sunset and many, many places around the world.

His Mother's desire was that a few people would know him before he died. She started blogging years before he was even born and is so surprised at how the story has spread.

How awesome to know that so many people around the world know your son and are praying for his little heart. I think about this so often when I am tucking my son to bed at night, I am reminded how lucky I am to have a healthy child.

I decided to join in the name gallery she has started for her son. My husband is probably going to kill me when he sees that I cut down a bunch of the roses in our front yard for this. (Honey, you can't even tell. I promise.) If you haven't had the chance to check out the name gallery, I recommend doing so.

If you would like to read more here is the link to her site.

Thank you Aunt Bridget for my cowboy outfit with my cowboy boots!
